The Travel Organizer, 2nd Edition, 2009

The Travel Organizer was a culmination of years of list-making for packing for vacations. After two years of photocopying and giving it out to friends, I finally self-published it with the illustrative help of my artist friend.

I have experimented with different versions, including attending a cos-play convention, writing conference and weekend getaway. This is the original (the second edition came about after some revisions from my personal lists, and the inclusion of the artwork) and works well for either an individual or a family.

Personally, I have used this version for a family (of 5) trip to Grandma's and for my solo trip to North Wales.

The price is quite reasonable at $5 plus $1.50 for shipping. Please use the pay pal button located at the bottom of my page and send me an email (or include it in the notes portion of your paypal) that includes your name and mailing address and either a phone or an email where you can be reached if there are any problems with the shipment.

Happy Traveling!

Introduction and Welcome Travelers

I will be writing here under the name kbwriting. I have other journals and blogs and they're not quite what I want them to be. Hopefully, this will be. It is a work in progress and I thank you for sharing the journey with me.

I plan on everything written here to be original works and therefore, are copyright assigned to me unless otherwise noted.

It took me forever to come up with a title for this 'writing place'. I don't know why I don't like the word 'blog'. I don't think it's a bias. I have many friends who are bloggers. I just don't feel like one; perhaps that will change in time. I settled on 'Welcome Travelers' because I thought it encompassed everything I could possibly hope to write about: parenting and education, travel, consumer advice and rants, politics and political rants, my fiction, book reviews and my budding attempt at incorporating my photographs into my professional writing.

I am the mother of three children. I was a teacher; I suppose I still am, but without a formal classroom.

Our summer is so far uneventful.  Mostly. We are not taking a vacation this year (no money and hopeful for plans in the Fall), but we hope to have a vacation at home. I'm sure you'll hear all about it. Our youngest attended a pre-K program at her new elementary school and may visit with preschool friends at their playground playgroup. Our middle one is attending camp for two weeks this summer and may spend the night at his friend's house. Our oldest is volunteering at that camp and assisting me in resupplying my friends who are hiking 1000 miles in addition to test my sanity of living with a teenager. I'm sure you'll hear more about all of them and some of our activities as I get comfortable with sharing here.

Thanks for visiting and welcome travelers. Come back soon.
